In 2012, after obtaining my Ph. D and beginning my research at Rockefeller University in New York, I observed that despite the abundance of Asian supermarkets in the city, premium Asian fruits, like those available in China, were nowhere to be found. As a former plant quarantine officer with extensive experience in the global fruit supply chain in China, I investigated this issue thoroughly. I realized that, despite over 20 years of Chinese fruit exports to the United States, the primary challenges were the lack of effective orchard regulation in China and the insufficient professionalism of importers managing these fruits in the United States.
To address these challenges, I founded Orchard Direct Inc. Our core value is to uphold the principle of "from orchard direct to consumer," delivering products that are "Direct, Delicious, and Delightful" to American consumers, especially those with high demand among Asian American consumers.
